Chartiers-Houston School District will hold kindergarten and first-grade registration from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. May 4-6 at Allison Park Elementary School. Parents should call the school at 724-745-4700, ext. 300 or 301, to make an appointment. A kindergarten registration packet will be mailed and must be completed before the appointment. Bring the registration packet to the appointment, along with the child, proof of residency, child’s birth certificate, Social Security number and immunization records. Kindergarten children must be 5 years old and first-graders must be 6 years old on or before Aug. 31. Children who attend kindergarten at Allison Park do not need to register for first grade.

St. Patrick School, 200 Murdock St., Canonsburg, offers full-day kindergarten. To enroll in kindergarten, a child must be 5 years old by Sept. 1. To register, bring the child’s birth certificate and immunizations records. A registration fee is required. All registered students will be screened April 10.
