The Waynesburg University Newman Club will present its first “Festival of Praise: A Celebration of Faith, Learning and Service” at 6:30 p.m. today in Roberts Chapel.

The Newman Club will explain the Catholic traditions of Eucharistic Adoration and Reconciliation. All denominations are welcome.

The service will offer a time for praise, meditation, Adoration and confessions.

Father Francis Frazer of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Waynesburg will preside over the Eucharistic Adoration, and youth minister Scott Lieb of Apollo will speak about what Adoration and Reconciliation mean to Catholics and why these celebrations are sacred.

In lieu of an admission fee, the Newman Club asks for a donation of a canned food item or an article of clothing. All donations will benefit local organizations.

Refreshments will be served after the service.
