Parish nurse program offering retreat in Pittsburgh

Mercy Parish Nurse and Health Ministry Program, part of Pittsburgh Mercy Health System and Trinity Health, will host “Joy of the Resurrection: A Reason to Celebrate,” an overnight, contemplative retreat for faith community nurses, health ministers, clergy and others interested in reconnecting with and celebrating their spirituality, from 4 p.m. April 24 to 4 p.m. April 25 at Martina Spiritual Renewal Center, 5244 Clarwin Ave., Pittsburgh.
Amy B. Armanious, a certified Faith Community Nurse and health ministry specialist at the Mercy Parish Nurse and Health Ministry Program; the Rev. Christina Hosler, moderator at Great Lakes Presbytery and pastor at Paris Presbyterian Church; and the Rev. Donna Yanosy of Friendship Parish in Slippery Rock will serve as retreat facilitators.
The retreat includes overnight accommodations, dinner on Friday, breakfast and lunch on Saturday, light snacks and retreat materials. Parking is free. Time for prayer, rest and spiritual direction will be available. Cost is $110 per person, and partial scholarships are available.
