Bergquist – Winkelvoss
Jodi Winkelvoss and Bren Bergquist were united in marriage October 23, 2015, at The 1927 Lake Lure Inn and Spa, North Carolina, with Danielle Baker officiating the 5 p.m. ceremony.
The bride’s parents are LuAnn Allridge of Eighty Four and Chris Winkelvoss of Bentleyville. Her grandparents are Jeannine Winkelvoss of Washington, the late Duane Winkelvoss and the late John and Darlene Allridge.
Parents of the bridegroom are Dru and Ken Bergquist of Davisburg, Mich. His grandparents are Kathy and Warren Galbraith of Clarkston, Mich.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Matron of honor was Sara Zitney of Bentleyville, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Abby Schoedel of Scenery Hill, Emily and Ashley Winkelvoss of Washington, cousins of the bride, and Sarah Nelson of Charlottesville, Va.
Best man was Trey Bergquist of Rochester Hills, Mich., brother of the groom. Ushers were Matt Bottke of Grand Rapids, Mich., Matt Bryan of Kensington, Ohio, Rob Gleyre of Davisburg, Mich., and Nick Hixson of Remus, Mich.
Flower girls were Jeannine Winkelvoss, grandmother of the bride, Kathy Galbraith, grandmother of the groom, and Emersyn Zitney, niece of the bride, who was escorted by Jacob Wheatley of Scenery Hill.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Bentworth High School and a graduate of West Virginia University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in human arts and performance and a master’s degree in occupational therapy. She is employed at Carolinas HealthCare System in Charlotte, N.C.
Mr. Bergquist is a 2007 graduate of Clarkston High School, a 2012 graduate of Hillside College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology, and a 2015 graduate of Life University, where he earned a doctor of chiropractic. He operates a chiropractic clinic in Huntersville, N.C.
A reception was held at The 1927 Lake Lure Inn and Spa.
The coupled honeymooned in Aruba and make their home in Mooresville, N.C.
