The Toy Chest provides toys for low-income families in the Canonsburg area. Registration will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, 112 West Pike St. Applicants must reside in the Canonsburg- Houston metropolitan area. A welfare card, health assistance card, or income verification is required and must be presented. Proof of number of children between the ages of infant through 16 must be shown as well as Social Security numbers for all family members. Toys will be available for pick up Dec. 12th and be prepackaged for families based on their pre-registration forms.

Martha Washington Quilters Guild will hold its monthly business meeting at 12:30 p.m. today at Church of the Covenant, third floor, 267 East Beau St., Washington. Linda Seaman will present the program on bias binding.

Pennsylvania Trolley Museum will host Santa Trolley from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday, Dec. 5-6 and Dec. 12-13. The last trolley departs at 4. The Yuletide Shuttle also will be available to ride, including a complimentary hot chocolate and snacks. There will be a large Lionel toy train layout and a Lego layout on display. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors ages 62 and older, $8 for children ages 1-15 and children under age 1 are free. Tickets can be purchased at www.patrolley.org. Bring an unwrapped toy with a minimum value of $10 and receive a $5 gift certificate to the museum store. Limit one per family. Toys will be accepted through Dec. 13.
