The Monongahela chapter of the Mary and Martha Joy Fellowship will hold its annual Special Day Apart Dec. 3 at First Presbyterian Church of Monongahela, Sixth, Main and Chess streets. Enter the church from the Chess Street side and go up the stairs to the social hall. Fellowship and coffee will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the morning session will begin at 10. A catered lunch will be served at noon and the afternoon session will begin at 1 p.m. Reservations are necessary. Make your $12 check payable to Mary and Martha Joy Fellowship and mail to Virgie Vidil, 9911 Walker Road, Elizabeth, PA 15037, to be received no later than Friday. Managing Your Diabetes will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 8-10 in Mon Valley Hospital’s Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center. This program is designed to help you with diabetes self-management. Participants will learn about the importance of controlling your blood sugars, diabetes medications, lifestyle changes, meal planning and how to reduce the risk of complications.
