Daniel and Maria Piatt of Washington announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie, to Adam Wisniewski, son of Debra Heins of Lansdale and Daniel Wisniewski of Lansdale.

Katie’s grandparents are Judy Buckingham of Washington and the late Bob Buckingham and Doris Piatt of Washington and the late Ralph Piatt. Her fiance’s grandparents are Eleanor Wisniewski of Sayerville, N.J., and the late Phillip Wisniewski and the late Dolores and Robert Heins.

The bride-to-be is a 2008 graduate of Trinity High School and a 2012 graduate of the University of Delaware, Newark, where she earned an honors degree in elementary education. She is a special education teacher in Christina School District in Newark.

The future groom is a 2008 graduate of Lansdale Catholic High School and a 2012 graduate of the University of Delaware, where he earned a degree in electrical engineering. He is a software engineer at JP Morgan Chase in Newark.

A July 16, 2016, wedding at the George Washington Hotel in Washington is planned.
