Southwestern PA Area Agency on Aging’s PrimeTime Health program, in partnership with the Mon Valley YMCA, will present “10 Keys to Healthy Aging” educational workshops for individuals 60 years of age and older.

The five-week program, designed by the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Aging and Population Health Prevention Research Center, will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 13 through Nov. 10, at the YMCA, 101 Taylor Run Road, Monongahela.

Classes will feature a variety of topics, including how to maintain healthy bones, joints and muscles; how to combat depression; how to lower LDL cholesterol; how to stop smoking; immunizations; cancer screenings; information on socialization; regulating blood glucose and lowering blood pressure; and being physically active.

In addition to weekly incentives, participants who complete the program will receive the companion book and will be eligible to win a Walmart gift card.

The event is free, but registration is required by calling Patti Mounts at 724-745-7327 or Jodi Lignelli at 724-483-8077, ext. 207.
