American Legion Post 816 will hold a Rib Cook-off Sept. 26, beginning at noon at 133 Carmichaels St., Rices Landing.

Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded to the winners in business and non-business entries.

Entry fee is $25, and setup begins at 7 a.m. All vendors can sell samples. Judging will begin at 4 p.m.

There also will be kids’ activities, a cornhole competition and silent auction. Live music will begin at 6 p.m.

All proceeds benefit the American Legion’s Child Welfare Fund.
