84 Lumber Co. makes donations

Angel Ridge Animal Rescue was among several area orgranizations that recently received donations from 84 Lumber Co.

Angel Ridge received $1,200 from 84 Lumber. The money will be used to help install interior panel walls where the dog kennels are held.

More than $25,800 in monetary and material donations were made by 84 Lumber. Other organizations that benefited from the company’s charitable donations were:

• ALS Association in Pittsburgh, $5,000. The monetary donation was put toward the 2015 Pittsburgh walk to defeat ALS.

• Cecil Township Parks & Recreation Board, $1,000. The material donation will be used to help rebuild the inside of the community’s concession stand.

• Children’s Hospital Foundation of Pittsburgh, $12,500. The monetary donation will be used for the 125 Years of Caring event on Oct. 2.

• City of Uniontown, more than $2,000. The material donation will be used to help board up windows and doors of unsafe and unsecured homes.

• Mon Valley NAACP Unit, $500. The money was used the group’s 54th annual Human Rights Banquet in September.

• Washington County Builders Association, $2,500. The money was used for the 2015 annual golf outing, which was held in September at Rolling Hills Country Club.

• Western Pennsylvania Chiefs’ of Police Association, which received $1,100. The money was used at the 13th annual golf outing, which raises money to provide in-service law enforcement training.
