Washington Art Association is offering a beginner to advanced mosaic class from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday in its studio at Citizens Library. Tile and stained glass will be offered at a minimal cost in conjunction with class charge. Use of all equipment and materials is available for students of high school age to adults. Washington Corps of the Salvation Army, 60 E. Maiden St., will hold its monthly rummage sale Tuesday. Doors open at 9 a.m., and the bag sale will begin at noon.
Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation will listen for the male timberdoodle and watch the evening sky to observe the bird Tuesday. Participants will meet at 7:30 p.m. at Shelter 3 in Cross Creek County Park and should dress for moderate hiking and the weather. A flashlight may be helpful for the return hike. Reservations are required; call 724-228-6867. There is no fee.
West End Neighborhood Watch will hold its next meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday in West Washington United Methodist Church hall, 625 Fayette St. Councilwoman Monda Williams and Code Officer Ron McIntyre will speak and answer questions. Refreshments will be served.
Bridgeville Area Historical Society will celebrate its fifth anniversary from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Kay Banks Building, 441 Station St. Light refreshments will be provided.
Vendor and Craft Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, 92 W. Walnut St., Washington. Vendors include Sabika, Thirty-One, Scentsy, Mary Kay, Gold Canyon Candle, Origami Owl, Tupperware and Jafra. Local crafters also will participate.
Genealogy Society of Southwestern Pennsylvania will present Ken Britten, president of the society and volunteer for the Family History Center, at 6 p.m. April 18 in the downstairs of Citizens Library, 55 S. College St., Washington. Britten will discuss “Brick Walls”, how to find your missing ancestors.
Chicken-and-biscuit dinner sponsored by Grindstone Lions Club will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 19 at Route 40 Classic Diner, 6229 National Pike. Tickets are $8 per person.
Washington Camera Club will meet at 7 p.m. April 19 in Room 104, Courthouse Square. The program “Photographic Techniques and Tips,” will be presented by John Zinn. Library prints will also be accepted.

Brownsville Area Ministerial Association’s Food Bank is seeking volunteers to help unload trucks April 22 and distribute food April 23 at Calvin United Presbyterian Church, 307 Spring St. Trucks arrive at 9 a.m. April 22, and food is distributed at 10 a.m. April 23.
Spring wildflower hike will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. April 23 at Ohiopyle State Park. Parking will be in the Cucumber Falls lot. The free hike will follow the Great Gorge Trail. Guides will identify the wildflowers.
