Government contracts topic of program

California University of Pennsylvania’s Government Agency Coordination Office is sponsoring a seminar on “The Basics of Federal Government Contracting” from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Department of Energy, Pittsburgh.

At the free seminar, companies will learn how the federal government conducts business and how qualified businesses can supply needed products and services.

Maria Panichelli, government contracts attorney with Cohen Seglias Pallas Greenhall & Furman PC, will discuss the fundamentals of federal contract regulations, registrations and certifications, how the bidding process works and award considerations.
