Monongahela Pooch Parade, sponsored by Monongahela Area Revitalization Corp., will be held May 21 in downtown Monongahela.

Vendor show and registration begin at 10 a.m., followed by the parade at 11. Registration and parade assembly will be held at the Railroad Street city lot, behind Community Bank.

Prizes will be awarded in many categories. Costumes are optional, and a prize will be awarded for the best one. All dogs must be on a leash and current on their immunizations. Registration fee is $5 per dog.

A professional pet photographer will be available before and after the parade. For a reservation, call 724-258-3930.

Festivities include dog-related vendors and exhibits, food booths, Chinese auction and dog-friendly businesses.
