Cleanup events on tap in Brownsville
Two Brownsville cleanup events will be held in conjunction with the “Keep PA Beautiful” and “Great American Clean Up” campaigns.
The first is May 14 and sponsored by Brownsville Area Revitalization Corp. The second is May 28 and sponsored by St. Peter’s Church. The starting time for both events is 10 a.m.
BARC’s May 14 event will focus on downtown. The Snowdon Square parking lot is the staging ground, where volunteers will receive gloves, vests and garbage bags. To volunteer, call 724-785-9331.
The church’s May 28 event will concentrate on the north side, including St. Peter’s property near the former St. Mary Church and Albany Road. Bags, vests and gloves also will be provided at the staging area at the church office, 118 Church St. To volunteer, call the church at 724-785-7781.
