American Legion Post 639 awards
The American Legion 2016 school award program was held April 12 at Hunt-Kennedy Post 639 in Claysville to honor award recipients in eighth grade at McGuffey Middle School. Award recipients were chosen based on courage, honor, leadership, patriotism, scholarship and service. Honorees were Grace Allender, daughter of Joe and Jamie Allender of Washington; Emilio Borello, son of Vince and Jodi Borello of Washington; Craig Cole, son of Jack and Melissa Cole of Washington; Elizabeth Crouse, daughter of Dale and Debbie Crouse of Prosperity; Mackenzie Stout, daughter of James and Valerie Stout of West Alexander; and Gregory Westfall, son of Robert and Sarah Westfall of Washington.
