Martha Washington Garden Club to hold flower show

Martha Washington Garden Club will present “A Standard Flower Show” from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at Washington Crown Center.

The show will be judged by the Pittsburgh-area Judges Council and the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania. Eight horticultural classes – roses, annuals, perennials, bulbs, herbs, container plants, trees and shrubs – will be featured along with “Always Grandma” design classes. Table artistry will include holiday dinner at Grandma’s, Grandma’s Kitchen and Gram & Pap. A small-design will feature Her First Grand, Special Pals & In Granma’s Pantry.

There are also educational & youth exhibits including a collection of favorite quilts featuring floral design. Visitors can vote for their favorite exhibit and photograph. There also will be a rummage sale in an adjacent room. Admission is free.
