Greene County PASR plans trip to Texas
The Greene County Chapter of Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees is planning a trip to Texas Sept. 8-16.
The trip will include a night in Nashville, Tenn., with a dinner show, and two nights at San Antonio’s Riverwalk. Tours will include the Alamo, the missions, El Mercado and a riverboat dinner cruise.
The trip will continue to Austin, Texas, to tour the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum; Dallas, with a dinner at Southfork Ranch, where the television show “Dallas” was filmed, a tour of the city and the depository where Lee Harvey Oswald shot President John F. Kennedy; Arlington, with a tour of AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys; Fort Worth, with stops at Billy Bob’s, the world’s largest Honky Tonk, the Longhorn cattle drive and a tour of the city.
The last two stops will include Oklahoma City to pay homage to the victims of the Oklahoma City bombing and the Gateway Arch in St. Louis.
