Presby Peach Fest at New Salem church
New Salem Presbyterian Church, 27 S. Mill St., will sponsor its 17th annual Presby Peach Fest from 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 27.
Meal tickets are $8 and will be available at the door. Diners can choose pork or ham barbecue or a hot dog dinner. Dinners include three sides, drink and the choice of peach dessert with ice cream. A la carte and takeout will be available.
Door prizes will be drawn every 30 minutes, and a bake sale will be held in front of the church, which is adjacent to Dearth Funeral Home. Donations of a nonperishable food item are requested for the church’s food pantry.
Proceeds will be used to upgrade the church kitchen and support its food bank program and Fayette Friends of Animals.
