Children can learn how to make salsa
The Washington County Master Gardeners, through Penn State Extension, will offer a Children’s Salsa-Making workshop from 6 to 7 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Children’s Garden across from the Washington County Fairgrounds.
Cost is $5. Participants will collect the vegetables in the garden and will learn what’s inside the vegetables when they cut them, why they are important to the plant and how to make salsa with them.
