Back to School Bash will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Salvation Army, 32 W. Fayette St., Uniontown. The free event features food, games and free hairstyling for children.

Jefferson Township Historical Society will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at the White Church Building, Fire Road, Eldersville. Guest speaker Park Burroughs will discuss “Murder & Mayhem at the Burgettstown Fair.” In October 1891, after spending the day at the Burgettstown Fair, Alex Chappel died on his way to his home in the village of Candor. His death was ruled a homicide by poisoning. Burroughs will discuss his research in the writing of the story, and he will explain his personal connections to the Burgettstown area. Refreshments will be served.

Martha Washington Quilters Guild will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Church of the Covenant, 267 E. Beau St., third floor, Washington. A City Mission representative will speak.

Crafters are needed for a Christmas Craft Show that will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 12 at Holy Trinity School, 5720 Steubenville Pike, McKees Rocks. To rent a table, call 724-695-3573. Sponsored by the Ladies Guild of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
