Team Hope Walk aids Huntington’s

The Huntington’s Disease Society of America will hold Team Hope Walk Oct. 1 at Lynch Field Park, Greensburg, to raise money and awareness of the genetic neurological disease .

All proceeds support HDSA’s mission to improve the lives of people affected by HD and their families. Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the walk will kick off at 10.

Sponsors, teams, individual walkers, products and volunteers to coordinate event activities are needed. Register and donate at www.hdsa.org/thwgreensburg.

Huntington’s disease is a fatal genetic disorder that causes the progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain. It deteriorates a person’s physical and mental abilities during their prime working years and has no cure.
