Lions Club names boy, girl of December
Waynesburg Lions Club has named its December Girl and Boy of the Month, who were selected by faculty at Waynesburg Central High School.
They are Arden Kalsey and Adam Weinschenker
Kalsey is a senior at Waynesburg Central High School and has a 4.0 grade-point average. She is a member of Student Council, art club, National Honor Society, yearbook club, Beta Club, Spanish club and the track team. She received highest honors for maintaining a 4.0 grade-point average througout high school.
Kalsey is a member of St. Ann’s Church and a volunteer with the humane society. She handled guest relations at the Waynesburg pool during the summer, and enjoys drawing, singing and playing guitar.
Her parents are Robb and Lisa Kalsey of Waynesburg.
Weinschenker is a senior at Waynesburg Central High School and has a 4.0 grade-point average. He is a member of the Future Business Leaders of America, Green Team, National Honor Society, library club, physics club and soccer team.
He has received highest honors throughout high school, plus high honors in English, pre-calculus, physics, chemistry, biology and American history. He won first place in the FBLA Securities and Investments Regional Competition.
Weinschenker lettered in soccer his senior year, and is a member of the Boy Scouts of America, and has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. During the summer, he was a staff member of the National Youth Leadership Conference. Weinschenker enjoys watching professional sports.
He plans to major in engineering at West Virginia University. His parents are James and Amy Weinschenker of Waynesburg.
