John Charles Popeck and Tracee Ann France were united in marriage Sept. 14, 2016, at the Millcraft Center, Washington. Magisterial District Judge Robert Redlinger officiated the 3:30 p.m. civil ceremony.

The bride’s parents are the late Thomas Scully and Alice Ann France of McMurray. She is the granddaughter of the late John and Mary France of Canonsburg and the late George and Mary Guidos, also of Canonsburg.

Parents of the bridegroom are Edward and Jane Popeck of Washington. John is the grandson of the late Charles and Josephine Popeck of Washington and the late Ralph and Lois Davis, also of Washington.

The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Timothy France.

Maid of honor for her close friend was Louise Insana of Washington.

Richard Popeck of Washington, brother of the groom, served as best man.

The bride is a 1989 graduate of Peters Township High School and a 1993 graduate of ICM School of Business. A medical assistant, she is currently employed by Washington Health System-Internal Medicine.

The bridegroom is a 1981 graduate of Washington High School and a 1985 graduate of MSTI Technical Institute. He worked in the mining industry for 30 years and is currently employed by Caterpillar Inc.

A private dinner and cocktail reception was held at Solomon’s Seafood & Grille, Washington, where Taylor Karl provided the dinner prayer.

The couple make their home in Washington.
