McCarrell – 75 years
Jay and Evelyn McCarrell of Washington will celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary with dinner with their children and their spouses.
Mr. and Mrs. McCarrell were married December 30, 1941, in the home of the bride in McDonald.
Their children are Jerry (Barbara) McCarrell of Quarryville, Judy (Pedro) Ruiz of Schwenksville and Jay (Barbara) McCarrell Jr. of Palmdale, Calif.
Their grandchildren are Debby Schaefer, Jay McCarrell III, Julissa and Jeff McCarrell, Ryan Ruiz, Carina Marchese and Kyle McCarrell. They have eight great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. McCarrell owned and operated T. L. McCarrell & Sons farm, where The Meadows is currently. They are the owners and operaters of Red Mailbox Farm in Eighty Four. They have won numerous hay awards in the United States and Canada, and are members of North Ten Mile Baptist Church in Amity. Mrs. McCarrell is known as “Aunt Evelyn” in a Mailbox Club ministry to hundreds of children.
