Washington County Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the Athena Award, which promotes women’s leadership and honors outstanding leaders.

The award will be presented May 6 at the Hilton Garden Inn, Southpointe.

Candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Live or work in Washington County;

• Have achieved the highest level of professional excellence;

• Contribute time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community;

• Actively assist others, particularly women, in realizing their full leadership potential.

Both women and men are eligible to receive the award. The award is not intended to be a contest among competing nominees, but recognition of excellence.
