First United Methodist in Washington to host Lenten luncheons

The annual Lenten luncheons will continue this year at First United Methodist Church of Washington, 29 N. College St.

Lunch will be served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30p.m., and the devotional service will be held from 12:30 to 12:50 p.m. Soup, sandwiches, cookies and a beverage will be available for the suggested donation of $5.

The theme is “Journey Inward, Journey Outward” and will feature the following speakers:

• Wednesday – The Rev. Lois Swestyn of Liberty and Amity United Methodist churches.

• Feb. 24 – The Rev. Erik Hoeke of Avery United Methodist Church.

• March 2- The Rev. Dr. Brad Lauster, Washington District superintendent of United Methodist churches.

• March 9 – The Rev. Ross Pryor of West Washington and Jefferson Avenue United Methodist churches.

• March 16 – The Rev. Keith Simmons of First United Methodist Church of Washington.
