Char-Houston library to hold Block Party
Chartiers-Houston Community Library has received materials from the Office of Commonwealth Libraries to implement a series of Block Play Parties for young children and their caregivers through the Cruise into Kindergarten program grant.
A Block Party will be held at 3 p.m. March 14. Blocks offer children a variety of opportunities to express themselves.
In addition to the wooden blocks, the library received a variety of figurines, animals and other props for the children to use with the blocks. Patrons also can check out professional resources about block play and children’s development. For young readers, the library has books about building and tools.
