Biscuits Bingo to benefit animal welfare organizations

Pittsburgh Police will hold its 18th annual Biscuits Bingo today at IBEW Hall Local No. 5, Hot Metal Street, Southside. Doors open at 10 a.m., and bingo starts at noon.

Thirteen local animal welfare organizations will benefit from the bingo proceeds. Each organization also will have a table of raffle baskets.

In addition, there will be celebrity bingo callers, including Charlie Batch.

Cost is $25, and tickets can be purchased at the door. Cash only will be accepted.

Organizations that will benefit from the event are Animal Friends, Animal Rescue League Shelter and Wildlife Center, Hog Heaven Rescue, Rabbit Wranglers, Western Pennsylvania Humane Society, Distinguished Dobermans, Forever Home Beagle Rescue, Great Pyrenees Rescue, Hello Bully, Homeless Cat Management, Hope Haven and Senior Pet and Animal Rescue.
