Washington Health System recognizes students, coach

Washington Health System recently recognized its Students of the Month and Coach of the Month for November. They are, from left: • Lilly Christy, a freshman at Washington High School who participated on the boys soccer and football teams. Christy is a starting defender on the soccer team and scored 17 extra points during the football season as one of the team’s place kickers. She has a grade-point average of 3.76. • Jessica Ott, the boys and girls cross country coach at Washington High School. Ott is recognized for her consistency in growing interest in cross country at the school. At least one runner has qualified for the PIAA championships each year under her guidance. The girls team won the Washington County Class A championship this year, and the boys team finished third. Ott also teaches at Washington and is involved in numerous other school programs. • Jordan West, a senior at Washington High School who was a defensive back and running back on the football team. He was named a MSA Sports preseason all-star and averaged more than 14 yard per carry from his running back position. Lilly Christy
