Steam association to host exhibit

The National Pike Steam, Gas and Horse Association and Antique Caterpillar Machinery Owners Club will host a working exhibit of vintage dirt-moving equipment from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 12-14 at its Brownsville show grounds, 222 Spring Road, off Route 40.

The display will feature equipment from the early 20th century, including a steam-powered shovel manufactured in 1913. The show includes food booths, flea market, craft vendors and children’s play area.

Admission is $5. Children 12 and younger are free. Senior citizens can attend for $3 on opening day.
