Tanger Outlets Pittsburgh in Washington recently awarded three schools in Washington County TangerKIDS Grants. The program is designed to award grant money to schools in the communities where Tanger Outlets are located. For every coupon book sold, Tanger in Washington earmarked $1 for the grant program and raised $5,000. The money was divided among the three schools and will benefit them in the 2016-17 school year. This year’s recipients are McGuffey School District for “Navigating New Learning,” McMurray Elementary School, “Standing Up for Focus and Independence,” and Borland Manor Elementary School, “STEAM Design Challenge Activities.” Winners include, clockwise, from top, McMurray Elementary School; McGuffey School District, with students, from left, Jacob Ross, Maeve Kotula, Reilly McAdoo, Autumn Donahue and Evan Harden accepting the check; and Borland Manor Elementary School, with, from left, Tina Cario, Tanger Outlet; Rebecca Thompson, librarian; Marella McConnell, principal, participating in the presentation.
