GACO at Cal U. to sponsor free seminar
California University of Pennsylvania’s Government Agency Coordination Office will sponsor a free seminar on “Subcontracting, Teaming Agreements and Joint Ventures” from 9 a.m. to noon June 17 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Washington.
Federal prime contractors who receive contracts valued over $700,000 for supplies and services and $1,500,000 for construction are required to develop plans and goals for subcontracting with small businesses. Because of these requirements, a significant market exists for small businesses.
Topics include finding primes and other small- and medium-sized partners; business development activities; and the legalities of business arrangements.
Lynne Hood Concurrent Technologies Corp.’s senior director of procurement and subcontracts, and John Bartholomew, executive director of corporate governance and compliance, will lead the discussion.
