Members of the American Legion Post 639 Riders stand outside Shelter 1 with American flags in hand during ceremonies at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. So that no man or woman will be forgotten, each month an honor guard pays tribute to fellow veterans who were buried at the cemetery without individual ceremonies.

Aspen Dental is offering free dental care for local veterans from 9 a.m. to noon June 25 as part of the Healthy Mouth Movement

Veterans can visit offices in Pittsburgh, Cranberry Township, Greensburg, Uniontown, Indiana, Monaca and Butler.

Many people throughout the country struggle to access oral health care when needed because of a variety of obstacles, including finances, availability, time or fears. Those obstacles kept more than 150 million Americans from visiting a dentist last year.

Aspen Dental’s initiative delivers free dental care and oral health education directly to those who need it most, with a focus on serving veterans in 2016.
