The Jades will perform from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at West Brownsville American Legion Post 940, 800 Middle St., as part of the Power of Music series. The free Sunday concerts include arts and crafts vendors, refreshments, barbecue, Chinese auction and 50/50 drawing.
Washington County Department of Public Safety will host a free American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED course for Washington County residents at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Emergency Operations Center. Those who complete the training will be certifed in adult, child and infant CPR, as well as the use of an Automated External Defibrillator. Children of all ages are invited to make birdhouses at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, at the Children’s Garden in Washington. Bird identification and ways to make backyards better for birds also will be discussed. Cost is $5 per child.
