Fourth of July events
Fireworks will begin at dusk July 3 at Patsy Hillman Park. Gates will open at 6 p.m. There will be entertainment, and the Brownsville Rotary Club will sponsor a bounce house and sell Fourth of July-related novelties. The concession stand also will be open, with proceeds benefiting the park.
The parade will begin at 10 a.m. on the Fourth of July at Cavasina Drive and proceed westward to Pike Street, ending at Bluff Street.
Charleroi will kick off its Community Days Friday, with vendors and musical entertainment on the Fifth Street Main Stage.
Blended Reality will perform at 4:30 p.m., followed by No Bad Juju at 7:30.
Craft beer, wine tasting and local and regional food vendors will be available from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Magic City Square.
On Saturday, an antique country craft show will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Market House. A kids zone will be available all day in the Chamber Plaza.
Musical performances on the Fifth Street Main Stage begin at 12:30 p.m., with Upstage Studio Vocal Performances, the Mon Valley Superstars, Dance Loft and other artists.
At 4:45, local acoustic recording artist Joey Papadakos will perform, followed by Dallas Marks, a country and Southern rock band, at 7:45. Fireworks begin at 10 p.m.
Fredericktown Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 11th annual Riverfest & Spectacular Fireworks at 2 p.m. July 3 along the river banks in Fredericktown. There will be food and craft vendors.
Other events include a children’s coloring contest at 3 p.m.; barnyard petting zoo and pony rides, 5 to 8 p.m.; music provided by the rock band Salem Union, 5:30 to 9:30; and fireworks at 9:30.

The Monongahela Aquatorium will open at 6 p.m. Saturday for a 7:30 p.m. concert, which will feature Satisfaction, a Rolling Stones tribute band.
Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. July Fourth.
West Brownsville American Legion Post 940 will hold its annual fireworks from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday. Mark & the Wild Things will perform.
