Martha Washington Quilters Guild will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Church of the Covenant, 267 E. Beau St., Washington. Karen Shoenberger will present a demonstration on “The Illusion Block.”
Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation will host an Ants at Our Picnic program at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. July 5 and 6 at Mingo Creek County Park. Three- to 5-year-olds are invited to look around the park for ant hills and eat hot dogs and marshmallows roasted over an open campfire. Participants will meet at Shelter 4 and should dress accordingly. Registration is required by calling the recreation office at 724-228-6867.
Spaghetti dinner fundraiser, sponsored by the Brownsville Area Military Honor Roll committee, will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. July 12 at Hugo’s Restaurant, Route 40. DeMarillac Guild of St. Louise DeMarillac Church will hold a “Timeless Treasures” flea market from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 15 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 16 in the lower level of LeGras Parish Center, 320 McMurray Road, Upper St. Clair. Merchandise will include jewelry, decorative items, knick-knacks, kitchen items, linens, tools, small pieces of furniture and gently used children’s clothing to size 6.
Presbyterian SeniorCare will host an AARP Driver Safety program from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. July 26 in the chapel meditation room. Those who would like to participate must have completed a previous class within the last three years. Bring proof of prior class completion and your AARP card. Class size is limited to 15 people.
