PSU alumni to hold charity dance social
The Washington-Greene Counties Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association will hold its sixth annual “We, Too, Can Dance” charity social from 6 to 9 p.m. March 19 at the George Washington Hotel, Washington.
Cost is $35 per person. The evening will include dinner, a cash bar, homemade desserts, the Nittany Lion and beginner-friendly professional dance lessons.
There also will be silent and Chinese auctions, a cornhole challenge, wine pull and other opportunities to raise money for THON and the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital, which provides treatment costs for pediatric cancer patients and supports innovative research to find a cure. Last year, the event raised more than $7,500.
The charity social is an offshoot of Penn State University’s THON, a 46-hour dance marathon that recently raised $9.77 million.
All tickets must be purchased in advance by contacting the chapter at 724-883-0702 or psuwashgreene@gmail.com.
