West End Neighborhood Watch Chapter I will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at West Washington United Methodist Church.
Washington Art Association will offer an Introduction to Watercolor Portraits for adults from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, May 31 through June 28, at Citizens Library. Instructor will be Connie Clutter. Bridgeville Area Historical Society will host Lt. Col. Vance Huston, who will present “Marine 1” from 1960-64, at 7:30 p.m. May 31 at Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department.
Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation will hold an introductory Yoga in the Park at 7 p.m. June 1 in Mingo Creek County Park. All skill levels are welcome. Participants will meet at Shelter 10 and should bring a yoga mat or beach towel. Cost is $5. Registration is required by calling 724-228-6867.

Peters Creek Evangelical Presbyterian Church will hold a Strawberry Festival from 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 3 at St. David’s Episcopal Parish Hall, 905 East McMurray Road, Venetia. Menu includes fried chicken, roast beef, side dishes and strawberry shortcake. There also will be children’s games and theme-basket drawings. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children and $8 for senior citizens. Dessert is $4. For tickets, call the church office at 724-941-6210. Tickets also will be sold at the door. Proceeds will benefit church mission projects.
Faith United Presbyterian Church will hold a golf outing June 12 at Lindenwold Golf Club, 360 Galley Road, Canonsburg. The event will begin with a shotgun start at 4 p.m. There also will be a dinner buffet and Chinese auction at 6:30. Fee is $60 per golfer and includes nine holes of golf with a cart, the dinner and prizes. Dinner reservations only are $20. For more details, call Cory at 724-579-9014. RSVP by May 29.
