Washington County electronics collection date changed
Washington County Planning Commission reminds residents the monthly electronics collection will be held from 2:30 to 5 p.m. June 14, not June 7, at the Washington County Fairgrounds, Exhibit Hall 1.
July’s collection will return to the first Tuesday of the month.
Payment method also has been changed to cash only. Items eligible for collection include computer monitors (CRTs and LCDs), computer towers and bases (CPUs), mice, keyboards and speakers, notebook computers, printers and televisions. Most items will be collected free of charge. Televisions will be limited to one per car per event.
Four- and eight-foot fluorescent tubes and compact fluorescent lights will be accepted for a fee of $1 per bulb. Freon appliances will be accepted, with a Freon removal fee of $15.
