The California University Alumni Association will recognize some of the university’s most distinguished graduates and faculty at the 2016 Awards of Distinction luncheon at noon June 4 in the Convocation Center’s north wing.

The Awards of Distinction will be presented to:

• Dr. George Crane of California – John R. Gregg Award for Loyalty and Service;

• Dr. David Argent of McMurray – C.B. Wilson Distinguished Faculty Award;

• Shantey Hill of Merrick, N.Y., Class of 2001 – W.S. Jackman Award of Distinction;

• Jess Strom of Homestead, Class of 2009 – Michael Duda Award for Athletic Achievement;

• Dr. Caryl Sheffield of Sarasota, Fla., Class of 1973 – Pavlak/Shutsy Special Service Award;

• Michael Grace of Connellsville, Class of 1995 – Professional Excellence Award;

• Cynthia James of Pittsburgh, Class of 2002 – Young Alumni Award;

• Carol (Nesti) Riley of Haymarket, Va., Class of 1969 – Meritorious Award.
