Liberty United Methodist Church, 1330 Banetown Road, Washington, will hold a community dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Menu includes creamed chicken and biscuit, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw or fruit, dessert and beverage. Chartiers-Houston High School Class of 1957 will meet at 10 a.m. June 7 at the New Tower Restaurant.

Monessen Public Library and Cultural Center will present a “Sip & Swirl” fundraiser at 6 p.m. June 7 at A.J. Ceramics, 109 Sixth St.. Participants will have a choice to paint either a ceramic patriotic teddy bear, frog, Betsy Ross, turtle or large basket. Registration is required. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased at Monessen Public Library or A.J. Ceramics. Tickets will not be sold at the door. For details, call 724-684-4750.
