Mon Valley Toys for Tots campaign

Monongahela Valley Hospital recently kicked off its annual Toys for Tots campaign by creating 13 baskets filled with dolls, games, puzzles and other toys, including four baskets for special needs children. Employees also assembled 13 riding toys for the local Toys for Tots. Wally Fronzaglio, a Donora resident who has served as the U.S. Marine Corps. Reserve Toys for Tots coordinator for the past 29 years, accepted the gifts on behalf of the Mon Valley Leathernecks, a group of former Marines that does the legwork for the local Toys for Tots program. Displaying the colorful riding toys, right, are, from left, John Bogdan, behavioral health nurse manager who has spearheaded the Toys for Tots drive at the hospital for more than 20 years, Fronzaglio and Doug Prentice, storeroom manager at MVH who also has been a longtime champion for the campaign. The hospital continues to accept donations. Those interested in contributing can drop off a new, unwrapped toy in the gift shop, or send checks payable to “Toys for Tots” to Wally Fronzaglio, 204 Brokaw Ave., Donora, PA 15033.
