Peters Township Chamber of Commerce will hold an After Hours Networking event from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Max & Erma’s, McMurray. There will be appetizers and a happy hour bar. Cost is $5 for members and $10 for nonmembers at the door. To register, visit ptcoc.org.
Monongahela Area Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. today in the parlor of First Presbyterian Church, 609 Chess St., Monongahela. Those who attend should enter through the Chess Street entrance. President Susan Bowers will highlight upcoming events and the Monongahela 250th Anniversary Celebration set for 2019. Member Leonard Marraccini of Finleyville will present “The Mystery of the Peters Creek Stone and its Local Connections.” Light refreshments will follow.
Rogersville United Methodist Church will hold a community dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday in fellowship hall. Menu will include ham, parsley potatoes, green beans, applesauce, dessert and a drink. Waynesburg Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual membership banquet Saturday in the Waynesburg University’s Benedum Dining Hall. Reception and Chinese auction will begin at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 and the awards ceremony at 7. Cost is $40 for individuals and $320 for a table of eight. 2X the Giving shopping event will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday in McCashin Hall, 1109 Main St., Burgettstown. Vendors include Bead for Life, Women’s Bean Project and Women of the Cloud Forest, with proceeds used to help eradicate poverty and hunger. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Cash and checks are preferred; credit cards will be accepted by a limited number of vendors. The event is dedicated in memory of Monica Held.
Martha Washington Quilters Guild will hold its monthly business meeting at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday on the third floor of the Church of the Covenant, Washington. There will be a discussion on the 2017 quilt show.
