The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum will host its annual Santa Trolley from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday and every Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 18, with the last trolley departing at 4:45.

Guests will climb aboard a restored streetcar that will transport them around the museum’s two-mile track. While on board, visitors will get to meet Santa Claus and a few of his friends. Pictures with Santa are encouraged.

There also will be a large Lionel toy train layout, a Lego layout built by Steel City Lug of Pittsburgh and complimentary hot chocolate and cookies. Children also will be able to make a holiday craft.

Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors 62 and older and $8 for children 1 through 15 years old. Children younger than 1 are free. Admission includes a trip on the Santa Trolley, the open exhibits and an infinite number of trips on the Yuletide shuttle. Because of the popularity of the event and limited seating, it is suggested that advance tickets be purchased online at www.patrolley.org.

In addition, the museum will host its Trolleys and Toy Trains event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 2, 9 and 16.

Visitors will be able to ride decorated trolleys and view the Lionel toy train layout. Admission is $10 for adults, $9 for senior citizens and $7 for children 3 through 15 years old. Children younger than 3 are free.

The museum also will be participating in the “Toys for Tots” campaign. Guests are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy with a minimum value of $10. Those who participate will receive a $5 gift certificate to the museum store, which is limited to one per family while visiting the Santa Trolley and Trolleys and Toy Trains. Toys will be accepted until 4 p.m. Dec. 18.
