MonValley NAACP will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the branch office, 422 Sixth St. The names of those who were written in as nominees for office at the September meeting will be voted upon, with elections to be held in November.
Claysville Methodist Church will hold a roast beef dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Dinner includes roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, coleslaw, beets, assorted pies and cakes and a beverage. Cost is $10. For takeout, call 724-663-4439.
Pigeon Creek Presbyterian Church, 45 Church Road, Eighty Four, will hold a fall ham and turkey supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 15. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 10 and younger.
