A spaghetti dinner fundraiser for the Fayette County Veterans House will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at American Legion Post 51, 508 E. Main St., Uniontown. The event is sponsored by state Rep. Tim Mahoney, D-51st District, and Jim Mari, Democratic candidate in the 52nd District. Tickets are $8 per person. There will be a Chinese auction. Garage sale/bake sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 14 and 15 at Fawcett United Methodist Church, 346 Fawcett Church Road, Bridgeville. There will be ham barbecue sandwiches, cream-puff cakes and assorted baked goods. Half-price sale will be held Oct. 15. Vendors will sell books, Rada knives and Christian greeting cards. Amish Monkey Improv Invasion Buffet & Show will begin at 2 p.m. Oct. 23 at 303 Chamber Plaza, Charleroi. The event is sponsored by the Charleroi Area Historical Society. The troupe uses audience input as a springboard for a variety of short skits. The show will include original songs, TV parodies and games for comedic enjoyment.There will be a silent auction.
