SAR sponsors student contests

The George Washington Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution is sponsoring several youth-oriented contests this year.

They include the:

• Knight Historical Essay contest for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors;

• Boy Scout, Eagle Scout recognition and scholarship program;

• Americanism Elementary School poster contest for fourth- and fifth-graders;

• Middle school brochure contest.

Students can attend public, parochial or private schools, including accredited homeschools. Each contest is conducted at three levels: chapter, state and national.
