Monongahela Aquatorium to hold Witch Festival
A Witch Festival for the 18-year-old and over crowd will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Monongahela Aquatorium, 200 Railroad St.
There will be music, games, readers, merchandise vendors, food, beverages and prizes. Costumes are optional. The Walpurgis witch dance also will be recreated, and a History of Witches in Pennsylvania presentation will be held.
The event is free, but organizers are offering a Very Important Witch tent. Cost to visit the VIW tent is $25 per person, and advance registration is required by visiting the festival’s website, http://monaquatorium.org/witch_festival_2016. This portion of the event will feature hors d’oeurves, finger foods and a witch’s brew.
Merchandise include jewelry, hand-blown witch balls, handmade bags and purses, crystals, hand-poured soy candles, brooms, spell bags and jars, knitted items, clothing items and essential oils.
In addition, Messages from the Other Side will be offered from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. Cost is $30, and only 14 tickets will be sold. Visit the website to purchase tickets.
Two seances will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. and 9:45 to 10:45 p.m. Only 12 tickets will be sold for each seance. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased online.
