Model Cleaners launched the “Coats for Kids” coat drive in conjunction with local schools district and the Salvation Army.

Each participating school was provided with plastic bins for collection purposes. Donated coats will be cleaned and donated to Salvation Army. The drive runs through Dec. 10. A Model representative will count and collect coats from bins on Friday of each week and post the count on Model’s Facebook Page. Coats will be donated Dec. 16. Any coats not utilized in donation will then be donated to another cause.

Participating school districts include Peters Township, Upper St. Clair, Charleroi, Belle Vernon and Seton-La Salle. The school with the most coats donated per student can win up to $1,000 for their school from Model. The second-place school will receive $500.
