Chartiers Hill United Presbyterian Church, 2230 Washington Road, Canonsburg, will hold its ninth annual Women’s Fellowship Group Fundraiser from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the social hall. The event will benefit LaCroix Mission in Haiti. There will be free refreshments, art by James Sulkowski, framing by Al Cario, a silent auction, brand-name purses, jewelry and scarves, a variety of vendors and door prizes. Concordia of the South Hills, 1300 Bower Hill Road, Mt. Lebanon, will hold an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday. There will also be a seminar focused on tips for seniors regarding cyber-security. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to tour the building, including retirement living apartments as well as personal care and short-term rehab/skilled nursing units. Friends of South Park Library will hold its annual fall book sale from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 20, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 21 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 22 in the South Park Township Community Center Building. Oct. 22 is “$5 bag day” where a bag is provided to fill with anything at the sale for $5. In addition to hardback and paperback books for adults and children, there will be records, albums, tapes, books on tape, CDs, DVDs, audio and video tapes, video games, toys, puzzles, games and stuffed animals. Proceeds benefit South Park Township Library.
